Ok, what's all this about, in plain English?
Yip, it is quite a thing to get your mind around! BlueBoxWidget.com is essentailly a service that offers you a central place to store your reporting data, and then some cool ways to present that data to the outside world, or securely to your team members.
Data can be displayed as graphs, dials, pie-charts or as plain text. You can 'feed' the live data to web- or intranet-pages, and the data can even be dynamically fed to a cool desktop 'reader' called the BlueBox Business Widget.

What about in plain French? German? Chinese?
Yes, we do have plans to translate this service to other languages... watch this space.

What are the system requirements for this service?
None! It will run in any web browser, as long as there is an internet connection present. You can embed 'widgets' (graphs, dials, text blobs, pie-charts etc) directly into a html document, a web application etc.
However if you decide you want to run the BlueBox Desktop Widget, then you will need a Windows XP Pro PC. (XP Home works, but some of the PC Analytics stuff works better on Pro.)

OK, I get the 'reporting' bit, but what's all this about PC Analytics?
PC Analytics is the process of getting a 'text/system' snapshot off the various Desktop PC's that are running the BlueBox Desktop Widget, and then uploading this every few hours to BlueBoxWidget.com.
This service allows you to manage/view the data on all your remote PC's from one central location. Obviously this only works if the PC's in question are running the BlueBox Desktop Widget.

Is this service really FREE?
Yes. And No. It's FREE alright, and you can set up your free account in minutes. You can then add unlimited members and data items to your account. All free of charge.
However, we only provide you with 100 free credits each month, more than enough to get basic use of the system,.
If you find you need more use than 100 credits provides you with, we encourage you to buy more... :-)

So how much are extra credits?
If you run out of FREE credits in any given month, then you can buy more directly from within your account, for 1c (one US cent) per view.
One credit per view? That sounds complicated!
It's actually really simple. Each time a 'data item' (graph, dial, text blob, pie chart, link or even a PC Analytics Data Upload) is used (ie viewed), then your account is debited for 1 credit.

What happens to my widget/data once my FREE credits are used up?
Once your 100 credits in a given month are used up, then we start using your 'bought credits'. If both lots of credits are depleted, then your data will either stop displaying altogether, or will be 'extended' to include a message that will state that your account has run dry, and encourage you to top up your account.
